We’re excited to announce a new list of digital health influencers!

Last year we created a list of 25 digital health influencers to follow in 2022 based on the views, engagement and influence of their channels, and this year we are doing the same. This list has been compiled based on their reach and engagement and it is not ranked.

The idea is adding new names of digital health influencers, so we are not going to repeat any name of last year list, however we do recommend to follow their work, have a look to the 25 digital health influencers to follow in 2022 here.

If you’re looking to add some digital health into your routine, it’s important to make sure that you’re following the right people. We’ve got a list of our favorite influencers in the biz who are making waves in the digital health space. Ami B. Bhatt, MD, FACC is the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of the American College of Cardiology. As CIO, Bhatt provides leadership and expertise in health care innovation and continue to grow the College’s comprehensive Innovation Program in support of the ACC’s Mission to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health.

A graduate from Harvard College and the Yale School of Medicine, Bhatt completed her medicine and pediatrics residency at Harvard, her adult cardiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and her adult congenital heart disease and pulmonary hypertension fellowship at the Boston Children’s Hospital. She was the Inaugural Richard Liberthson Endowed Scholar in Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Director of the ACHD program for over a decade.

She most recently served as the Director of Outpatient and Telecardiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Corrigan-Minehan Heart Center. Dr Bhatt continues as a Harvard college premedical mentor and associate professor at Harvard Medical School.

Brennan Spiegel, MD, MSHS, is director of Health Services Research for Cedars-Sinai and Director of the Cedars-Sinai Master’s Degree Program in Health Delivery Science. He directs the Cedars-Sinai Center for Outcomes Research and Education (CS-CORE), a multidisciplinary team that investigates how digital health technologies can strengthen the patient-doctor bond, improve outcomes, and save money.

His team developed one of largest and most widely-documented medical VR programs at Cedars-Sinai, and his work has helped to support a new field of medicine called Medical Extended Reality (MXR) in which doctors use immersive technologies like VR to help treat conditions ranging from pain, to anxiety and depression, to irritable bowel syndrome.

Spiegel has published numerous medical textbooks, editorials and more than 250 articles in peer-reviewed journals. His digital health research has been featured by major media outlets, including The NY Times, CBS News, Forbes, LA Times, NBC News, Reuters, The Washington Post, and WSJ. Dr. Spiegel published the book “VRx: How Immersive Therapeutics Will Revolutionize Medicine” (Basic Books, NY, NY), which was named by Wired Magazine as one of its top 8 science books of 2020.
