We were delighted to be involved with the International Healthcare Travel Forum 2022, this prestigious event is the largest forum specializes in healthcare travel in the MENA Region, organized by the Private Hospitals Association Jordan (PHA), UNDER THE ROYAL PATRONAGE OF HIS MAJESTY KING ABDULLAH II IBN AL HUSSEIN.
International Healthcare Travel Forum 2022
The IHTF2022 is held in cooperation with the Global Healthcare Travel Council, the International Hospital Federation and the Arab Hospitals Federation during the period 19th – 21th of Nov 2022 at the St. Regis Hotel in Amman – Jordan.
Our CEO João Bocas was invited to deliver a Keynote on day two at Session 10 – Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. João’s keynote delivered on his vision that the combination of Wearables and Artificial Intelligence will be the game changer in healthcare. His talk was very well received by the audience and all other leaders, “wearables can change the world, certainly the healthcare world” – João’s final words at his talk.
We were honored to be involved in IHTF2022 which was supported by the Ministry of Health and Jordan Tourism Board. João’s talked about his vision in healthcare with H.E. Dr. Feras AI-Hawari, the Minister of Health Jordan and Dr. Fawzi AI-Hammouri, the Chairman at the Private Hospital Association Jordan (PHA)
The event was a success under The Royal Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, it was attended by more than 700 participants from more than 50 countries. Which focused Amman Declaration to expand healthcare travel to include HT8 (Healthcare Travel eight segments); Medical Tourism, Dental Tourism, Spa Tourism, Wellness Tourism, Culinary Tourism, Sports Tourism, Accessible Tourism and Assisted residential Tourism.
The PHA organized this forum to build on previous successes and to set a platform for experts and professionals in healthcare travel from all over the world to get together and share experiences, transfer knowledge and exchange ideas in order to collaborate together.
The forum gave healthcare travel stakeholders from all over the world the opportunity to meet in one place, network and strengthen the cooperation between different countries who are interested to provide or receive healthcare services.
The forum provided participants knowledge about the latest innovations and trends in the healthcare travel industry and for this purpose we are inviting internationally renowned experts and opinion leaders and decision-makers.

Participants in the forum include a large number of representatives of international bodies specialized in medical tourism and healthcare travel, as well as a number of Jordanian and Arab ministers and ambassadors.
The forum discussed, in 11 dialogue sessions, the role laws, legislation, regulations, and approving quality of services play in ensuring the provision of health services, in accordance with international standards and in a manner that guarantees patient rights.
It also discusses the importance of information technology and artificial intelligence in health care, the role of Jordanian and Arab diplomats, and international organizations in promoting health cooperation among countries.
We would like to wish our sincere congratulations to the organizers of the event, and all stakeholders involved in the forum, with a kind mention to Dr. Fawzi AI-Hammouri for his leadership, vision and warm hospitality.
In conclusion, we are very much looking forward to going back to Jordan next year for the annual International Healthcare Travel Tourism 2023, and in the meantime continuing to participate at other global events where we bring our dynamic global outlook and vision to make healthcare uncomplicated.
